Packer - Out at WFNZ

Ya know- Packer wasn't the problem. Except for his laziness- the "caller driven" model and not doing his homework- he seemed OK.

It's the shitbags like QCB, the fucktard Tony, and all the redneck/retarded callers who bombard the show.

There's one dude, some black guy, who has to be retarded. He makes Natrone and Buckner sound like Scott Pelley from 60 Minutes. While I think it's nice to give the guy an opportunity to speak on air- you're making your listeners change the channel.

The same goes for Red Fox.

 

The best thing about all this is the complete apathy.

See ya later Packer. FNZ, too little too late, and like Chris said above, Packer wasn't even the biggest problem on the channel.

Hell at least Packer got guests. What does the timeslot sound like now?

 

How many of te affiliates are going to hang around? Probably not many.

 

I don't mind the QCB. If you don't like him, you don't get it. I actually enjoy his segment most of the time.

 

So will Packman show up with his SOUTHERN FRIED FOOTBALL Road Show at the ACC Championship Game on Sunday? I will assume so (since he owned the rights to it) . . . WFNZ didn't co own it did they?

 

wow,today they have Arnie Spaner the old sporting news radio guy and Taylor Zarzar? hosting. They had Marty Smith from espn yesterday. Hes the nascar dude but he wasnt too bad. Steve Lyerly? the clown from fox news was on the other day. he has the worst delivery ever, and sounds like bill walton.

Im a sicko and tune a little just to hear, like a train wreck. The one thing I have noticed is these guys are all trying to be packman with the same phrases

"hopefully this hour of primetime brought to you by___"
"are you done yet?" to qcb, "next one please" for whiner line
even the "get out of here you are bothering me attitude" packer had with qcb they are imitating.

wish the 730 show ran 4 hours. Ironically they had on Gary Williams as a guest the day after pack was out. He offered more insight in a ten minute conversation than you can get in the average hour of primetime.

 

Maybe they are having tryouts.

One caller asked Spanier if he was there as a temp fill-in or a permanent host. Arnie clearly dodged the question, so maybe he is in the running to fill the job.
