I would like to say a couple things....

1. If App did move up it would be the worst thing for the program. We seen how they did against ECU and you seen how well they did against Florida. So stay where they are and keep winning in the socon.

2. Edwards does need to be used for panthers but not at quarterback. There is a reason not that many teams wanted him, to small throws the ball almost sidearm. He is not a NFL oreven a BCS quarterback. He is a great athlete.

 

Didn't App try moving up a while ago and realized it just wasn't worth it?

#1...app lost to a very good ECU team by 4...Florida is not Conference USA, which is where they would go...natural rivals with ECU and Marshall...seems reasonable especially with 22 extra scholarships...

#2...Edwards does have a funny release for a qb but i would guarantee that he could throw the ball as far and as accurately as Clausen, Moore, St. Pierre, or anyone else the panthers find to be better...put him in at QB...the worst he can do is play like the others...

 

I've heard that if App does move up there is a good chance they would try to start their own conference with several other SoCon and CAA schools. Travel costs within Conference USA would be high and the Sun Belt just isn't competitive enough to warrant a move. MAC for football only is another option.

 

I don't think the MAC would be a bad idea. Getting a conference together with a bunch of other SoCon and CAA schools seems like a long shot.
