I believe the reason that the Tar-Heels are struggling right now has to do with a couple of reasons. The first reason is that this team is very young. Even so, let not make this as an excuse because the 2005 Tar heels team that won the national championship also had alt of freshman and sophomore. The real problem for this Tar Heels to have a lack of discipline. They turn the ball way too much. They are missing alt of free throws. Anther issue that I believe why the Tar-Heels are struggling right now. It is because they are very young they don’t have a leader on this team. You look at the 05 unc roster, and you see players such as Jackie Manuel Melvin Scott two players who would not make sportscenter for leading. The-Heels with scoring the most point in the game. However, this player was a leader someone who if the team was playing bad. They would rally the troops or in this case really the team.Normally, you would expect the Point Guard to be the leader such as Larry Drew II, but it seems like he does not want to be a leader. And let me say this if does not improve his game. He won’t play in the NBA. Harrison Barnens could be a leader on this team, but it seems like he does not ready yet. And Tyler Zeller a guy who 7 feet tall. You would expect him to be a leader, but it just seems like he does not want to be a leader. Anther major issue that the Tar-Heels don’t have right now is they don’t have the killer instinct. They must understand that just because their back of the jersey is saying North Carolina does not mean that teams will stop playing hard. I have watched This Tar-heels team play this year even why they had the lead instead growing the lead and blow the game. They are taking the foot of the gas. Let me end this and say. This team is not good enough to win the ACC. I think Duke is the best team in the acc as well as in the country. However, this does not mean that Duke will win the it all because ones we get into March everything can and will happen. With the ACC other than Duke wild open even this Tar-Heels team should finish in near the top of the ACC and should make the NCAA Tournament. Even so, if the goal is to have a deep run in the NCAA Tournament then issue that I list above must be fixed ASAP.before it too late

It pains me to say this, but this years Heels team may not be any better than last years team. I don't envision the Heels getting a NCAA bid this year either. The guard situation won't be fixed with the players they have.

That is the main problem, but Marshall needs to play more period. Drew is maxed out as far as how good he will be. The offense just seems to flow better when Marshall runs the point, regardless of which PG has better stats that night. I would rather Marshall play and get better.
