Money trail ties agent, ex-UNC coach

This talks about free hotel rooms in CA. Not sure if anything has been proven but a receipt says a lot.

EDIT: Damnit, wolfpac posted same thing.

    HAHA! Beat ya!

Not only a receipt but a receipt with Marvin Austin and Pro-Tect on it. He shoots! He scores!!!

Not only the player involvement but I know of no other case where a coach (and a very high up coach at that) was being paid by an agent:

"But three sources said documents show the relationship between Wichard and Blake also extended into the financial realm several times over the past three years. Those instances included:

    • At least six wire transfers from Wichard’s private bank – The First National Bank of Long Island – to Blake.

    • A $45,000 personal loan to Blake from The First National Bank of Long Island.

    • A Pro Tect Management credit card issued in Blake’s name."

The NCAA made an example out of USC for paying for recruits and surely, they will make an example out of UNC-CH for having a coach/agent/players all in cohoots. The fact that Butch Davis missed all of this shows he is incompetent to be the head coach. They will at least give them what USC got and I think they'll go a little farther as you have the tutor mess on top of it. So, to lclefty's point, postseason bowl ban and it's likely for either two or three years. So, an incoming freshman wouldn't even see a bowl until his Junior or Senior year assuming the program isn't so decimated by then that they can recover that quickly.

Nobody is going to miss a Tire Bowl. How about loss of scholarships? I'd imagine that would hurt more.

I believe a loss of jobs will happen.

From memory, I believe USC lost 10 schollies so I would expect UNC-CH(eat) to lose 8-12

I guess vpkozel still hasn't found anything on insidecarolina to argue this.

insidecarolina is the ultimate example of Odin's picture earlier. They have been wrong on almost every step of this. If you believed them, Marvin Austin would still be playing and have only missed the LSU game.

That is the first that I had seen of those links. That is pretty bad, I agree and if it to be true, then Austin and Blake are obviously in lots of trouble. However, I will also say that none of that indicates that the entire program was involved.

We'll have to see how all of this comes to pass.
