Harrison Barnes

Not to be a knock on the kid as he may very well be the next greatest but how does he get voted a Preseason All American without every playing a minute of college basketball? BTW, he finished with 7 points, six rebounds and six turnovers against Div 2 Barton College last Friday evening.

 

Don't care what he did in the exhibition game but I agree 100% about pre-season AA. Tells me it's a severely weak class. Of course Singler being a lock for that team told me that.

Still looking forward to the start of CBB. Should be a fun Duke team to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing Barnes play. I was really disappointed Duke lost out on him, it felt like he was the one recruit who could turn it all around.

Yeah, Dickie V was all over Duke but then again that's nothing unusual.

 

I have no idea. The guys covering college bball have largely become a total joke.

 

I think preseason All American team is stupid anyways, but yeah I'll agreed no freshman should ever make the team.

 

What made him special? Is the kid THAT good? I mean is he the best freshman ever? No other freshman has ever had that honor.

 

I've heard him compared to Kobe ... w/o all those pesky Colorado rapes allegations
