I got a new one from Lowes last week. Be careful, they'll try to sell you a bunch of shit you don't need, and, watch over the installation; a couple of trained monkeys installed mine[kid couldn't follow directions and got lost three times trying to find my house]. One of the water lines was right out of Family Circus, they left solder all over the lines, floor, on top of heater, broke one pipe cover/insulator, put a couple of small gouges in my decorated backboard on the back of the shower, didn't adjust the thermostats like I asked.

I thought. Maybe would add up over a decade, and would've been about a week with no hot water to wait for install.

I installed an new one for $450 total in 2 hours.

You talking waterless hot water heater? I thought about that but then learned you have to vent it and get inspections and stuff.

I definitely install one if I were building a new house, but for my current home, I just got a new regular one when the old one expired.
