I didn't see anything bad. Clock management could've been better, but it was fine when we had 2nd and 8 and just needed two plays off guard without a fumble to make it.

DW bounced it left, like on the TD you can see the replay of. I don't remember right now how things looked to the right, but he came back left and got dragged down for a 5 yard loss. He took the potential homerun instead of the safe gain (again I can't remember how things looked to the right).

I dunno. If it were me, presnap I was thinking it'd be a great place for a QB draw to get a few yards, but you have to be willing to be savvy and risk the head. Otherwise, DW following his block for better or worse gives us a shot at the FG.

That's what I imagine people were referencing, if anything. Everything else that happened on that drive was a matter of the rush getting to Clausen or King dropping a fairly easy ball.

everybody likes to blame something at the end, I dunno. Defense played fairly well, bend but don't break in the 2nd half, giving up 2 FG drives that could've been much worse. We weren't able to sustain anything long but made plays on O. I mean we made some mistakes but so did they - it's not like this was obviously our game and they stole it, or we screwed ourselves royally. We had a shot at the end and there wasn't much margin for failure.

Ah, well he should not have bounced it in that situation. I didnt see the play. We really needed to pick up about 5 to 10 yards, so I would have liked to consider pass if the Saints were stacking the run. But DW should not have run backwards when we couldnt afford to lose any yards. I'll give a pass to the play calling this time.

And yes, things were much better than the 1st 3 weeks. It was like football.

once again, score more than 14 and beat the Panthers. that's pretty bad and becoming a habit for this team. there were bright spots but the lack of offense is glaring.

The play where Clausen hit Gettis on fourth and four after he scrambled to his right was pretty freaking awesome and would have probably won the game for us if not for DW's screw up.

Hm, I saw hope today. Rookie QBm young team, best receiver out in the end and we still took the defending champs to the wire. Sure NO hasn't played very well this year, but we were in it. Of course I came into the season expecting bad, so maybe it's easier for me to see positives?

Mags - you certainly analyze the game better than I do...but my frustration is that everyone and their mother knew what we were going to do. That's great if the OLine is knocking the DLine off of the ball, but they haven't all season. Just thought that Clausen could've rolled out...something other than a run.
