Catchable ball, defender up into his arms knocked it out. There's still a long way to go, but this game was better then last week and that's all I'm really hoping for, steady forward progress. Actually I feel fairly good because yes, we were in it right to the end.

Boy if Anderson & Beason could both get hot the same game wouldn't it be spectacular.

Word on Smitty yet? That is what I'm down about, game was pretty good for a bunch of rookies and an unimaginative staff.

I mean, honestly? It disgusts me at myself for thinking like this, but...look at it this way: We're giving the probable quarterback of our next decade or two reps, and he looks damn solid. Gettis looks to be emerging somewhat, at least as an option...and we're positioning ourselves for a high first round draft pick.

Too bad we traded our second for a bitch who will never play in this league, but still....we'll have a high first. Maybe even battle Buffalo for the first overall. :p

They should have that pic at the top of this forum instead of those ads.

we're a running team. If we can't get two yards there for a FG I don't know what to tell you.

Plus, I don't think the playcall can be blamed for DW going rogue and trying to bounce it outside. That shit's fine for most downs but the last thing we needed was a loss. That's what I got out of that play.

I don't know. I don't remember seeing anything all that questionable on O or D today as far as calls. We needed more sustainability but what we put out there wasn't a problem. I know, people need someone to blame, but I didn't see a poorly coached team out there today.

Well, if it's any consolation, from the highlights looks like the 49ers fucked up as bad as we did at the end of the game and went 0-4 also. :ack2:

they did. The play never had much chance at all, and some of the prior clock problem was Clausen's. One thing I never got about shotgun proponents is that you have to reset, then signal for the snap, and then it's snapped. at minimum 5 seconds is lost in the process.

Still, you want to see a guy play the ball. Middle of field or at the edge you have a ball coming at you and you go up and fucking get it.

So what happened? We're a running team. They passed a billion and four times. And they won a tight one. Was it just execution? Short drives? Our D doing the same thing, going back to the John Marshall bend but don't break, leaving them out there all quarter? What.

I ask out of genuine curiosity today. I look at the stats, and I'm confused why we lost. I hear coaches sucked today, and playcalling problems hounded us at the end...what happened? IN a nutshell? How did we lose when we led for so long? Did we get comfy with a 14-10 lead again, like Smitty warned against?

Lol. I did actually have a dream last night we'd go 0-8, turn it around and go 8-8 and make the playoffs. :biggrina:
