    Minter is lobbying hard for the job but I hope he doesn't get it. He'd be great on the staff from a public relations perspective but just doesn't, IMHO, have enough coaching experience to coach the Niners, especially beign a start up program.

    I'm sure Judy Rose, the AD, is heading up the seach committee but other than her I have no idea.

    Mike could be a surprisingly good hire. From what I've seen, he's a good CEO type. He makes good hires in his businesses as well as in the football area.

    I'd love to see him in a "head coach in waiting" type role with the Niners. Of course, I've got a personal interest in Mike getting the gig.

    Is the July of '12 time frame right for the hire? It seems a little bit late for all that has to be done.
