The tackling was awful, especially in the secondary.

I wish they have given Clausen more chances to score a TD when he got us down close.

Richard Marshall is still trying to scrub the crisco off his no tackling hands.

Fox has to feel like he's driving the short bus.

I think Fox is working his balls off, personally. I don't thing a goddamned thing has changed. We started 2009 playing shitty football, and here we go again.

The team is playing like a team that is young, and lacks experience in game situations as a unit. Perhaps it gets better next week, because I think our losing has less to do with who we play, and more to do with (a) unforced effors, and (b) missing opportunities.

And Jeff Davidson's abysmal playcalling. That's hurtful when you don't have an experienced #2 opposite Smith to get open.

Oh, and again, the offensive line--perhaps you would have to had been there, sitting 20 rows up behind the end zone, to physically see how awful it was.

I am baffled by something, after driving home.....Is there a particular reason the team didn't shift Gross to RT, Wharton to LT and plug 74 Inside? Well, pehaps had Fat Fucknose Duke Robinson taken his chance seriously, they could have done it that way. But, holy shit, 74 is getting mauled by some fairly average LE's.

    Neat.

One win, and he's it. But it makes some sense, as his diddy lives right down the road, and he'd be cheap.

Gettis played well. Well enough, anyway. I mean, when you're open as a fucking ocean twice for long gains and the QB either overthrows you by 2 miles or your two tackles collapse the pocket, hard for him to showcase it.

Convert those two plays, and Gettis is next week's "ESPN FANTASY SLEEPER". But that's football.

Odd. Hurney was on the post-game and sounded like Nic Cage from Bad Lieutenant--very hyper, and surprisingly upbeat--but in almost a deranged way. Hell, his job's safe. He's the fucking Mayor at this point.

Clausen getting a week of reps with first team will look better... of the qb's we have on the roster, he gives us the best chance to win... that's all I'm sayin

Again, being at the game, it was good to see it happen when it did, as it did. The timing was right, and had Fat Ass Jeff Davidson not called two stretch plays near the goalline on Clausen's first drive, it's likely we would have scored. Why you try to run lateral against a defense that you have been gashing between the tackles all game is beyond me.

Clausen's ready, Moore's the backup, end of story.

And Fox will do his usual coach-speak until the end of the week, I am sure, but you don't replace a healthy starter with 10+ minutes to play in a home game, down 2 possessions, without the intent of keeping him in the lineup permanently.
