you'll be missing the smoke in the oven or crock pot. Thats where a lot of the flavor comes from. It would probably still be good but it won't be bbq.

I think I'll be cooking a couple this weekend.

What will it be - just roast pork? Would it be bbq if I add sauce when I put in on a sammich?

fuck these high-falootin' bar-be-que'ers. just fry up a couple pork chops, chop them up and dump some Stinky Pete's and ketchup on them. same damn thing. and don't forget a cold glass of that Sweet Piss you motherfuckers are always babbling about.

hell I don't know. If it was that easy I don't think people would buy smokers. If your idea of good bbq is Sonny's then go for it. It couldn't be any worse than that.

Google is your friend - just search for pork butts in the oven or crock pot. Probably crock pot is the way to go. I don't think you want your oven cooking at 250 for 12 hours.

Depends on what you buy - pork loin will be a roast - pork butts (shoulders) have more fat in them - thats what bbq places or home smokers use.

    fall off the bone good

get a slab of baby back ribs. peel that layer of silver skin off the back and clean up the bones.

salt and pepper front and back of ribs and place into a disposable tin pan, add a cup of water or beer, cover with foil and bake/steam in oven @ 225 for 3 hours.

Take pan out of oven and remove foil lid and dump out liquid. Jack oven up to 450. Slather ribs with favorite sauce and bake uncovered. Repeat as often as necessary.

How can you be patient enough to cook for 20 hours, but not patient enough to just wait for the McRib to make its return?
