This is what I understand, Slappy. I understand there is nothing "positive" (I even laffed when I typed that) coming out of this meltdown. You can spin it, twist it, bend it, hammer it anyway you want to, and the end result is nothing but an embarrassing string of scandals that some people consider irreparable. The NCAA is "peeling the onion" on this academic investigation and from what I'm told there is no end in sight. Come to me after all the destruction is done and the smoke clears and then tell me all the "positives" you take from it. I'll wait....

 

Well the one main positive would be that the school is doing the same thing as the NCAA which is more than most schools do in this situation. Sure, no matter what comes from this, it will hurt the UNC program in a major way and could very easily cross over into other sports as well. But whatever it takes from the school to expedite the process.

But I am happy to know that I can make your pathetic day brighter.

 

.......I'm not joking, but now that the news comes out that BD gets 2 $300K checks before Christmas, he'd be a bigger fool than he is right now to leave. The UNC trust is working hard on how to make this firing go over easy.

Baddour admits violations for 2nd straight day.

WILMINGTON — University of North Carolina Athletics Director Dick Baddour told the UNC system’s Board of Governors today that academic misconduct by members of the football team may date back a year or more.

Asked whether the cheating could have happened in prior years, Baddour said, “The short answer is yes. We will go where the information leads us. If that isn’t the immediate year … we will go where the information takes us.”

Baddour didn’t say anything more on that issue.

and baddour is proving everyday how clueless he is. But his "revelation" of violations going back a year or more is probably just the austin/thomas trip that balmer paid for. That or it has something to do with that scumbag Doherty. You know he had to cheat to land McCants/May/Felton.

 

It's looking like now that the investigation into the academic part of the scandals will go back further than at first reported. No end in sight ....
