    I guess but I'd rather have a clean program and a decent football team. Being compared to having the morals of an SEC school is disgusting (Vanderbilt excluded).

    No need to get into the pissing contest between the alumni (who have every right to be pissed) and the athletic fans (like me) whose only connection to the school is being a life long fan of their athletics programs. I hate the scandal and possible cheating that is going on - but other than the impact it has to disrupt a possibly great season I can't really get on a soap box and cry about the school's tarnished reputation. Cheating at UNC doesn't really bother me any more than it does at any other school. It happens. EVERYWHERE.

    That's not a cop out or a rationalization. It's just a fact. Sometimes it's minor, sometimes it's widespread and egregious. The fact this is the first time since the late 50's/early 60's it's tainted UNC I would say the UNC academic reputation can survive what's a relatively minor episode. Now if it comes out this is directed by coaches and it crosses programs and has been going on for years thats totally different.

    But I'll put my Walmart fan cap back on and say that what really does piss me off more than anything is the fact we as fans haven't really been able to get excited about the season or even talk about a huge nationally televised game with an SEC power house all because of this stupid shit.

    I'm not sure if they've figured it out yet or not, there is a UNC fan posting on there - feeding the NC State fans complete bullshit, they're eating it up.

    Maybe the same person posting there is also posting in the Big 10 forums then. There is talk up north about UNC and most of it is the same stuff. It sounds like UNC has a major issue.
