Fuck em' I tired of defending them.

Its got to the point I'm not sure how much is true or false, but there's enough true that I'm disappointed in them.

Just suspend them all - the season is going in the toilet before it's even started.

Might as well just clean house. Of course Butch won't care. He'll land a job at a bigger school or go back to the NFL and never look back. The schools lose out but the coaches never do.

    It's about time!!

UNC's Yates: Am I allowed to accept this?

GREENSBORO -- UNC quarterback T.J. Yates took part in the annual golf outing at the ACC Football Kickoff on Monday morning -- and won the award for closest to the pin.

When his victory was announced at lunch, the senior quipped, "Am I allowed to accept this?" as he was handed his prize.

It was a wry one-liner in the face of the fact that the NCAA is investigating whether Tar Heels players received extra benefits from

    agent.

***yes you can TJ, because it may be the only real victory you get this year....if you leave quick enough you still may be able to enroll at Catawba...... no don't do that..they also have suffered enough...no more holes please...

    Go Raiders!

    No kidding...........

UNC football could face double digit suspensions

The NCAA investigation into inappropriate agent/player contact with the North Carolina Tar Heel football program has uncovered the academic infractions that lead to a press conference last night to address the situation. At that time UNC athletic director Dick Baddour could not comment on how many players are involved in the investigation. Baddour also stated that there will not be a quick resolution this situation, meaning it will drag on into the football season.

Inside Carolina's Greg Barnes joined Mark Thomas and Mike Maniscalco on 620 the Buzz Friday morning and cautioned Tar Heel fans to brace for the worst.

"Got some word last night, I think we are looking closer to double digits." Barnes said, in reference to a report from Inside Carolina last night that said six to twelve players could be involved in this investigation. "I think that the twelve is in a closer ballpark, I don't think that we're possibly quite at that level yet, but I think six was a little conservative."

Barnes also stated that he did not think that the academic infractions would have been uncovered if the NCAA had not been investigating the Heels, "Just because it really took a player tipping them off to a former employee that used to do some things for the players academically. That's basically what it comes down to, unless somebody would have spilled the beans North Carolina's administration would have never known about it."

UNC opens up the football season in 8 days against the LSU Tigers. As far as who the Heels will be able to play in that game is still a question mark. According to Barnes first string players were practicing with the scout team, but moved up as the session progressed. "You've got to still play (players) just in case they can play, but you also have to prepare for the possibility that they don't play."
