Bobcats sign Kwame Brown

I am having a hard time seeing any improvement to the roster. Lose Felton and Chandler and replace with Brown and Livingston? Even throwing in Carrol and Najera it is still a net loss in talent. Granted Felton and Chandler pretty much sucked but they were better than what we have replaced them with. I kept hoping that we would trade Dampier for something that did improve the team but it looks like that is just going to be used for cap relief.

 

kwame is not that great of a signing, but the production is not much of a drop from chandler and he makes a fraction of what chandler made. looking at his career stats, he has the same numbers or better when he gets minutes compared to the bobcats centers.

brown-3.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg 13 minutes

chandler- 6.5 ppg 6.3 rpg 22 minutes
production was even less than brown in playoff games

they can still trade dampier, Im sure they will hold him until the season starts before they cut him for relief. Miami might have interest

Pretty much how I feel about it. I don't see much of an improvement and nothing that will put butts in the seats.
