    Cutty Sark - that's the one I had the bad experience with. BARF

    I'll try the Glenlivet or the Oban - I'm with melonhead though, if I don't like them, I'm definitely not going to sit around trying to develop a taste for them. There's other stuff I already like.

    Tried a few different types of Scotch, I just don't care for it. I drink certain Bourbons and like the difference. While Scotch is ligher, it's too dry for my taste.

    Dad was a scotch drinker before he was diagnosed with diabetes. He lubbed him some Chivas Regal, but the ultimate as far as he was concerned is 100 Pipers.

    I come from a Land Way Downunder.
    I'm a scotch drinker [when I drink]...I prefer Glenfiddich - big chunks of ice, no water.

    My real drink of choice is Drambuie...scotch with a hint of honey. Silver, try this first. You may find the smoothness of the honey takes the edge of the harshness of the scotch. It's delicious...again, just have it with big chunks of ice and don't mix it with anything. If you top it up with coke, my Poppa will come up out of the grave and punch you in the face ;).
