It's possible that the Phillies will end up with Dan Herron from Arizona. Look for the Yankees to start getting aggressive for a pitcher too with Andy Petitt going on the DL.

Money may make a difference in who they go after.
Oswalt will make $15 million this season, then $16 million next season and a $12 million club option in 2012. Haren on the other hand makes $8.25 million this season, $12.75 million in 2011 and 2012 and has a $15.5 million club option with a $3.5 million buyout in 2013. Would rather have Oswalt but he hasn't been as durable (I think)

Lee traded, Haren traded and still Oswalt and his tender personality who doesn't want to play in a aggressive media outlet sits in Houston

Ben Sheets might be a cheap pitcher to get. Wish they could go for Fausto Carmonia

Looks like the phillies will get oswalt without another team getting into the mix iff oswalt agrees to trade. wonering if oswalts skin is thick enough.for philly. that and what the phils giving up for him? if he balks then the phils move on fausto carmona who is signed for 3 years for the same money oswalt gets paid next year. we'll see

oswalt needs to stay in the NL. AL hitters would light him the fuck up.

The Phillies have cut a 7 game lead down to 2.5 in a week. The bats are finally coming around even without Utley and now this. The Braves in first place can now be measured with an hour glass. I would have thought the Braves brass would have gone out and gotten a bat for Bobby Cox's final year to keep them in the race.

    Oh well
