Speaking of IPhone, when do you think the antenna issue will be fixed? I can upgrade mine soon and want one

I've deteremined Droid is MUCH better due to its open source ability. You're not hindered by Apple's decisions on what is viable software, or by their price scale.

It won't be on the current phone. The "fix" is a band that goes around the phone. Apple is gonna start giving them out free.

FWIW iPhone is coming to Verizon in Jan.

I am planning to get the IPhone when I can upgrade at the end of next month. Iphones data package can get expensive. I called and asked how much data I was using with my current phone (Inpression) She said over the last year I have averaged < half the smaller of the 2 packages now offered. I have unlimited data on my phone. I doubt I can keep the same unlimited at current rate on Iphone. My question is with all the apps that the Iphone has, and I know this is hard to say what apps are really going to use a lot of data? I basically surf the internet checking scores now and use maybe 400 meg. Will the GPS use much? Games?

Thats the beauty of Android. And its not carrier dependent. You can go from Verizon to sprint to At&t and still immediately transfer all your information without having them to transfer it and have the same applications, etc. Apple's new update just gives it the same capabilities Android has had for the past year. And now Froyo is about to be out.

It's hard to say. I'd think 400MB was a bit low though. I think I usually average around 700MB. I went over a GB this month but we were travelling for 2 weeks and I was using the phone for primary internet access and using the navigation in Satellite mode and street view a lot. I know the GPS on my phone effects the battery a lot more than anything else.

The data packages for new IPhone people is 15 for 1 gig and 25 for 2Gig. (I think) I plan on going 1 gig and watching what I do to gauge things

Thats probably what I would do too. Now if you start doing the video conversations like they show on commercials, that could case a big jump.

With my mug I'll stick to text messages :nerd:

I want to be able to do fantasy sports (ESPNs app) and play with the GPS as well as my usual newspaper/news sites.
