Crossman, Jake, gone. Classic example of addition by subtraction.

Jake had his moments his first few years but he killed us in '09. Just killed us. And yes, we made moves to improve ST; if you track our signings there were guys with good ST rep brought in.

    WOW! :drunk: :corn:

Yep, thats a little more optimistic. I follow your line of thinking, but not sure I am ready to commit to that. Don't get me wrong, I hope your right, I am just not as sure about that as you are.

just putting it out there for discussion. i think the argument is valid that we haven't upgraded very much at all, and we may have even downgraded with the roster purge. at this point i would tend to agree on paper with your take on special teams personnel, but overall i don't see us as significantly better than last year.

young teams like this usually have a funny sort of track to the season. sometimes they struggle till near the end of the season, sometimes they start hot but collapse. twelve wins would certainly be something.

This seems like a good year for Smitty to get hurt. He hasn't been hurt in a while.

You heard it here first, P99.

We are probably not significantly better over all than we were last year and maybe not as good. Even with that being said last year's team was a playoff caliber team if not for Jake screwing the pooch. If Matt Moore starts the whole season last year I think there is a very good chance they do make the playoffs. The game we lost to Buffalo would almost certainly have been a win with a competent QB. That would have put us at 9 wins. We probably would have beaten either the Jets, Dolphins or Falcons with Moore starting so 10 wins would not really be a stretch.
