If Clemson turned down SEC money, there would be some serious mutiny between the fans and the administration. All this realignment talk is probably hindering the ACC in their TV contract talks.

Old-time conference loyalty aside, I don't see how ANY ACC team could turn down an SEC invite. Isn't the $$$ payout in the SEC around twice what the ACC teams currently get ?

They're going to figure out a way to ruin college football. Leave it alone.

ACC's contract is up at the end of next season. Negotiations are now ongoing for a new deal with several players in the mix. Not likely that the ACC will get the $ the SEC did, but there is certainly a bunch of money to be tossed their way.

ACC Spring meetings are currently going on down in Florida. Something may come out of it regarding a new TV deal but it's more likely that it will be around August before it's settled.

There have been blueprints in place for nearly 20 years for the rise of the super-conferences, it's just now coming to fruition. I have a feeling that we ain't seen nothing yet.

Mountain West has reportedly asked Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Virginia, Syracuse, UNC-Charlotte at Chapel Hill, and Purdue to join its ranks

Oh, sure -- they'll invite Syracuse, but not Fresno State? It's a conspiracy, I tell ya!

I think that the Big 10 will get a flurry of activity started. If they go to 14 teams as being rumored today, look for Texas to jump to the SEC or the PAC 10. The ACC will face rape the Big East of WVA and Pitt. I am worried that Fla St and Klempson might end up in the SEC.

I saw that on ESPN (I think) yesterday. Texas in the Pac-10 makes about as much sense as the Falcons, Saints, and Panthers being in the NFC West back in the day.

Texas is in the most envious position of any school in the country even Notre Dame. I'm still not taking it as a given that Nortre Dame will turn down an offer for the Big 10. I agree about the geography but let's face it the ACC stretches from South Florida to New England.
