Have you tried it? I'm smoking my first butt now should be ready for dinner. I couldn't find the right kind of rope to seal the lid properly so I'm using foil instead - kind of a pain. It needs some tweaks and it's not as pretty as that guys but I can adjust the temp up and down.

add on tablespoon of arrowroot powder to just enough cold water to fully disolve and stir into sauce once off the heat...this give it a little thickness to stick to meat better

    thank me later

excellent sauce. I left out the arrowroot too since I didn't want it thicker. But the flavor was perfect

That looks pretty good, except for the water, ketchup, worcheshire sauce, sugar, chipotle and arrowroot powder.

do you have a good butcher around? or can you find your butts and etc anywhere? I've seen them at Wal-mart but wasn't sure if I could do better.

I bought the first ones I smoked at Ann's Triad Meats on Randleman Rd. I've bought some good meats there before but now I buy them at Sam's Club, Food Lion or Harris Teeter. They are just as good. If you have a freezer just buy them on sale and freeze them.

Ribs are a great deal at Sams. Three full racks (really six racks if you go buy a restaurant portion) for a little over $20.
