If it were up to me I would try to find a better point guard to run the team and then try to find a decent center. Ratliff and Mohamed are not the answer, not as starters anyway. Chandler will probably never be healthy again. Thomas might work out at power forward though.

I would have liked to have seen this team with Okafor still on board. Thomas and Okafor would have made for some tough interior defense.

Not really throwing him under the bus, but nobody looked comfortable being the person to take the shots. Just more of the point of your leading scorer doing the same.

Sure, I wish Felton played better D, but to act as if that was the only problem is crazy. Diaw was a major concern of being a total no show, at least Felton was trying. Then the biggest concern imo would be the center position with 3 scrubs trying to split that role. Chandler is the only one that I would even consider having back next year in a limited role "if healthy".

Felton is a middle of the pack PG in the league, and probably towards the bottom of that middle third, but aside from his lack of Defense he did ok on the offensive side considering what the rest of the team didn't do.

Sure would be nice to have any draft picks this year. Pretty sure all of them (1st and 2 2nds) were traded. Lets see if MJ can sweet talk a center into coming aboard

Like I said, when I brought up how much Felton was awful a few weeks ago.. I was classified as just being biased. I tried saying it before. Nobody would listen and wanted to just refer to me being a Duke fan as the reason I said this. I guess that is the same reason that I'm saying that the Hawks and Nuggets are going to lose their series as well right? It's all got to do with Boozer playing for Utah.

If they want to keep Felton then fine but they need another point guard to pair with him who can play defense. That way they can swap them in and out depending on what they need more at the time. Someone who could defend Nelson would have helped out a lot in this series.

I know this is beating a dead horse but they really should have kept Okafor. The trade for Chandler was a horrible bust. He is not an elite big man but he is a lot better than the three scrubs we have at center now.

At some point they are going to have to sign a free agent if they want to compete. You are not going to build a contender through trades very often. Teams do not willingly give up stud players. You can make a lot of lateral moves and hope the team chemistry gets better but you are not going to trade for a guy who can lead you to a championship very often.

Okafor sucked this year, just drop it already it's embarrassing.

Everyone knew that Chandler had injury issues (hence why he isn't a member of the Thunder right now.) Getting undercut and bruising the shit out of his hip and elbow in the final game didn't help any, it looked like he was finally getting healthy.

Guess that's what you get for bothering to play the last game.

Chris Paul could solve a lot of issues for this team, I think he'd be an ideal fit with Jack, Wallace and Chandler. Hope some of those rumblings pan out.

Also, lets not forget that Howard has owned Okafor his entire career. To claim that Okafor would have made one ounce of difference in this series is pretty ridiculous.

agreed, it is beating a dead horse. Okafor would not have made much difference

you could say that the three center rotation did their job on Howard this series. He was not the difference, it was Nelson. The three centers were horrible on offense but they kept Howard from getting a lot of dunks + one ft's. Thats the only way he scores. he can't hit anything four feet from the basket, and he can't score his avg. from the stripe.

No Okafor would not have done much better against Howard. He would have helped in the regular season though. He would have given us much more than what we got from our three scrubs. Trading a good but not great center for a scrub who stays injured is a bad thing.

I'd agree that as a purely statistical comparasion, Okafor for Chandler was a bad move. But we're not built to play the type of game that Okafor is suited to play so he was a liability, especially with his contract. And yes, in the playoffs the scrubs we have now more or less took Dwight Howard out of the series whereas Howard regularly rapes Okafor every time they play.
