    hey, they believe this kid is something special. they think he's going to take time out of the d's schedule to prepare for our standard O. they think he's going to be able to do the things a couple of the smaller guys the last few yrs have done. they have to view him as a nightmare for other teams. they have to or they wouldn't have done it.

    I was a SO at App when we played Marshall at home- Chad Pennington was their QB, Randy Moss was their WR... with his candy cane green and white knee high socks.

    On the other side was LB Dexter Coakley and S Matt Stevens.

    Great game- we won, I think. I was bombed really don't remember much except Randy's socks.

    Dude I knew was following the crowd that was bashing up cars with the goalpost. Cops maced him, likely just because he is black. He knocked the cop unconcious and transferred out of App. Good times.


    Having seen Edwards many times I don't get trading up for him at all. It will be interesting, but I don't get it.

    Erik Kresser played QB for Marshall that year. Pennington was red-shirted after having played the previous season.

    And App lost 24-10.

    Since we're reminiscing about Moss at Marshall, I was up there that year for Furman, and we were up 17-0 at the half. They came back and score 42 unanswered on us in the second half, then in the playoffs they just creamed us 56-0. So we got outscored 98-0 in six quarters.......

    read that Edwards played receiver full time in high school, so thats good, but never returned a kick or punt in a game.
