For real though, training camp is going to be so interesting this year.

I dunno. I really liked Pike of the spread guys. he had no business in the 2nd, but he had no business at the end of 6. They passed him twice in the prior two picks and I guess they just figured, well, fuck it.

It's more that with Clausen there, you would want to max reps for him and your starter.

Maybe they are lining things up for Gruden next year. We know how he likes drafting and playing multiple QBs

I guess we'll probably pick that RB from Oregon next.

Look, no one thought Pike was ready to start. He's a guy that we slowly bring along for 2-3 years, and if he develops into a starter quality guy then we've got options. And value.

There's alot worse things than to have QB depth. Best case we now have three starting caliber guys on our roster. We can trade one and still have depth (down the road..)

Don't think it was a smart pick. I wanted Larson who was taken off the board right after Pike. That's not a cut on Pike, but rather a thought that a backup Center would be a better use in a pick.

Well, maybe we won't be getting a vet.

Still, I don't think it will mean that much. Pike might not make the team. He's wafer thin.

A quality backup QB is much more valuable than a quality backup OL

Man I love this pick. What a draft the Panthers have pulled off. I am so stoked. Pike was one of the top qbs I really liked with his size and he is very accurate. Upside is there for sure. Love this draft totally!

This was a strange pick. I guess they are hoping they can land a franchise QB if they simply draft enough QBs who have upside. I still think Moore is the starter this year and that he plays pretty well. It will make this draft look bad if Moore does establish himself as a quality starter. It reminds me a little of when the drafted Stewart with DW already on the roster. QB by committee does not usually work though.
