Without doubt this is the weakest Final 4 ever. Dook looks to be about to win a championship against West Vagina who was without their starting point guard, Michigan State who is without their best player, and Butler who is coached by a 19 year old. A championship is a championship but this year is further proof that the college game is diluted.

And yet the teams who got to the Final Four beat all of the other 3 no. 1 seeds that most of the experts picked to get to the final 4, or the teams that beat those seeds. I am sure you would be singing a different tune if Duke had beaten Kentucky to get in the final and were playing Syracuse or Kansas for the title, but last week Kentucky lost to the team who Duke just beat by 21 points last night, and Michigan State is the team that UNC beat easily for the championship last year. Sounds like more sour grapes to me. What are you gonna say if Butler wins tomorrow night? Thus eliminating all the # 1 seeds? Duke still has to win another game to be the champions. I'm not counting any chickens.


I'm sure next year Duke will finish at the top of the ACC and get knocked out in the sweet 16. A "down" year for them. Doubtful they'll wind up in the NIT, though.

 

I guess they should've cut the trophy for Florida in 06 in half as well since the G Mason beat UConn in elite 8 and the other two were Ohio State & LSU. Even if this was UNC in the driver's seat I would still say that you can't take away from the team thats about to win the 6 straight games needed to win the tournament. Tiger Woods is head and shoulders above the competition, but nobody should take away how he has had dominating moments throughout his career.

 

if butler can defend the perimeter, they have a shot. i think the game will be in the 60's, maybe low 70's. its gonna be closer than some may think. i give it to dook by 3-4 points.

 

I think that's a pretty valid assessment. I think it will be a low scoring game. Duke's lack of a true PG may hurt them, but if they are shooting like they did Saturday night, it might not matter.

 

It the big guy from Butler playing? Things are getting even easier for Puke.

NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!! Butler clearly belonged there and whoever thinks otherwise is a moron. Hats off to them for a great game. Where's the guy to say the ACC sucks ? Since an ACC team has won the past 2 years.
