I weigh on Monday mornings. I consider that to be my official weight for that week. I weigh about every day but I try to ignore the results. Day to day fluctuations are not reliable and could be due to a variety of things. If I can lose 2 pounds per week then I will be at goal pretty quickly.

I'm down 37 as of today. This is 85% change in diet, people. Changing what I eat, when I eat and how much I eat. It really is that simple.

I'm eating better than i ever have. I feel fantastic. I just took half a closet to goodwill and got my old clothes out of storage. I'll bbe back at my Charlotte weight by the end of June. If I start p90x, it'll probably be sooner.

This is so easy to do, but you have to unlock your mind first and free it to see the path.

I've seen your food posts on Facebook and it looks amazing! I did what you did after I had my last child and changed my diet and it just fell off. Crazy what food can do. Congrats on your life style change!

Totally agree. Getting into the right state of mind is the toughest part of the process.

I agree with this too. It is mostly mental. I think eating enough of the right stuff is as important as not eating too much of the bad stuff. A common mistake for me is to try to eat very little of the bad stuff and no good stuff. You can only force yourself to be hungry for so long. 1500 calories per day can be a lot of food if you choose wisely.

I bet if you did you would find you have cut out a lot of calories from your diet.

I hear you Larry. There is no need. Common sense tells you what is good for you and what is not then you just have to worry about portion control. I don't count anything and the weight flew off. I always ate pretty good, I just started eating less and kept up my workouts.

It's amazing how little food you need to get through a day and once your mind is right, you never think about it. Mrs. Pi has to remind me to eat some days.

I had to go out and buy all new clothes a couple weeks ago. I bought 33" waist shorts for the first time since I was in my 20's. My wife looked at my abs the other day and said she hadn't seen them since out honeymoon.

Also, the BMI scale is bullshit. My doctor told me that at 6' 200 I was in good shape. That is not right unless you are an NFL running back.

exactly. i've found that the intake is more important than the output -- what you eat is more important than working out. not saying exercise isn't beneficial/healthy/important, just not nearly as much as what/when/how much you eat.

all i've done is go on some walks -- a few times a week, on average.

if i was going to make a self-help "how to lose the weight" book, it would only be one page.

I have been eating Oatmeal for breakfast every day and sometimes for supper as well. A bowl only has about 150 calories and it will keep me from being hungry for hours. As long as I do not hit the pizza buffet at lunch I can have pretty much whatever I want for lunch.

I have noticed that the less I eat stuff with a lot of sugar in in the less I want that stuff. Eat a little bit though and then I am craving it all day. I think eating foods that digest slowly is important.
