NCAA Tournament (Thursday games)

Did you know better for FSU also? Ugh. At least Georgia Tech won, which was a good game. I didn't expect Duke to have any problem tonight, but Sunday will probably be a battle.

 

How bout ACC teams. 2 of them beat out Big 12 schools that nobody really picked Wake & GT to beat. Duke everyone figured would win. Maryland is taking it to Houston right now. 4-2 in 1st round isn't bad considering some of the matchups that were taking place. ACC!! ACC!! ACC!! haha

Also nevermind all of the Louisville Duke talk.... California is going to be the Duke opponent. I don't mean that in a way that says it will be any easier though.

 

Just from looking at Cal's stats it looks like they could be a matchup problem. Leading scorer is a 5'10 PG burner that averages 18 and 5, second leading scorer is a 6'5 guard that gets 16.

Luckily for me one of my brackets I had Villanova losing today, only it was to Richmond, not St Mary's. Then Richmond losing to Baylor, so hopefully I'll be back on track on that one. Who'd a thunk Villanova, G'town, and Louisville all out already?? Syracuse is the only Big East team that looked like their seed. All the 1 seeds looked like 1 seeds.

Hmm.. possible that GT could upset Ohio State tomorrow? I'd love to see GT & Maryland in that Elite 8 game. Far stretch, but anything could and will happen as we have already seen. Thank God i didn't pick Kansas to win it all. I did pick them to go to the Final Four though...


What's everyone else's thoughts on the Kansas loss possibly opening it up for Maryland? It really just opened it up easier for Ohio State unless they get upended.

 

I imagine lots of brackets just got destroyed.

 

CM'ON WAKE!! Also BYU is playing K State really good right now. The Fredette kid for BYU is one of those "WOW" scorers.
