How does he get off admitting to a positive cocaine drug test as a manager and admits to smoking weed and doing anphetamines as a player without any suspensions. The past is in the past as far as when he was a player but since he was given a random drug screen, and then notified MLB that it would be positive he should still get the same penalty a player would get for failing a random, whatever that may be.

I know there is a whole lot of forgiving going on with the players for various things, but I really feel that Washington should have been fired for this. The manager needs to be above drug use. The manager needs to be the rules enforcer, and a "buck stops here" kinda guy. This hurts his ability to govern & manage his team.

The Rangers won 87 or 88 games last year, best year in awhile, that's the reason he wasn't fired.

I don't necessarily want him fired but I do believe at a minimum he should be suspended like any player would be for the same failed drug test

If you fail a drug test in the real world (cocaine), you get fired! In baseball, you get a slap on the wrist & a book deal. The Rangers probadly didn't want to make any moves right now during spring training, but let the team suck for awhile & he'll be cut loose or demoted.
