The committee has been clear about this for years. Play people outside your conference or be penalized.

How come everyone seems to realize this except VTech? It's not like an ACC team should have problems filling out its schedule with quality teams. I can see not wanting to schedule to tough because normally the conference schedule is tough but VTech needs to find a middle ground.

i dont see MSU making it through the first weekend. Nova could make the Sweet 16 but thats it, alot of "people" are loving themselves some Baylor, it seems.

I think that is why the NCAA is emphasizing out of conference scheduling, because it is the one thing in your control as a major conference team.

Most (all?) of the major conferences now play unbalanced schedules. At first glance, Georgia Tech at 7-9 looks a lot worse than Virginia Tech's 10-6 record. But if you look closer into it, GT had to play the top teams in the league a lot more than VT did. Neither GT or VT could control if Miami is any good, but they can control their own out of conference schedule.

I still wish for the day when conferences play balanced schedules again. It's worth it to add a couple of games onto the schedule to at least make the conference schedule balanced and fair.

I think the PAC 10 still does the round robin.

I wonder if those Kentucky folk are looking over their collective shoulders?

NCAA rejects Memphis appeal, school must vacate 38 wins
