    i didn't read the whole thing yet. does he mention how frugal owners are generally ridiculed by the fan base as being "cheap"?

    they should change contracts to not be guaranteed fixed values and instead be guaranteed fixed revenue %. so instead of getting $8 million a year, you get an x-share. that share value is based on overall nba basketball revenues. up years mean more money, lean years mean less. this would also mean that players would be incentivized to make the product profitable (since they would be literally getting a cut of profits).

    Wouldn't doing that pretty much ensure a handful of teams get all star team caliber rosters and everyone else basically gets d-league players?
