I can agree. The Pitt stuff kinda rambles but arguing Chapel Hill doesn't have the talent with all those MCD's All Americans is kinda silly. Unless of course those players should of never been MCD's All Americans in the first place. It's understandable to fall off from last year, but to fall this far, with that supposed talent, is kinda strange.

This is unfamiliar territory for a Tar Heel fan. I admit, I've been spoiled. From 1975 thru 2001, UNC made the NCAA Tournament. 27 straight years, which is the NCAA record. This will be the 3rd season since 2001 the Heels won't make it. Not used to it.:sad3: Regardless of who graduated, or injuries, or whatever, the Heels always played their way into the tourney.

How is Rob not right ? Roy Williams cannot coach but one way. Coach K gets the most out of his players every year. That's why K is 10 times the coach Roy will ever be. I could have coached UNC to a championship last year. Switch Carolina and Duke's rosters and the result would be the same that it is now.

Well any player that goes to a top school or is courted by a top school does slide up the rankings because of that. I am sure for every kid that was on the MCD's team, there were 2 or 3 that could have taken that kids place. That aside, not every kid is going to come in a be a star from day one, this year these kids were asked to do more than they were ready for. Experience is what was lost. There wasn't a proven star ready to lead this team, that hurts no matter how good the young kids are.

The Freshmen - IMO, Henson and Strickland will be stars, Wear kids will be solid players but nothing more. McDonald? no clue on that one.

Sophs - Davis is very good, but he isn't a power player or a leader. Zeller is just another Shav at this point, he can't stay healthy or get enough minutes to be a factor so far. Drew has been a bust considering what he was suppose to be, not that he should be Lawson or Felton, but he was suppose to be better than he is. Watts, was just a body I guess.

Juniors - Only Graves.....enough said. Not having a balanced number of kids recruited each year can put a program in this exact situation.

Seniors - Ginyard.....how do I say this, HE SUCKS, when he is on the court it's like playing 4 on 6. Thompson.....role player trying to be a leader which he isn't, not always consistant, this should be his year to dominate(but we see how that has worked out). No others worth mentioning.

Krzyzewski & Roy Williams are two of the best!

    Roy Williams 608-151 .801 (2 Titles) in 22 years
    Coach K 856-278 .755 (3 Titles) in 35 years

Williams will probadly end up with more wins & more titles when his coaching career ends. (if he sticks around for 35 years). Williams has mostly been successful. This has been an unusual year.

Titles maybe. No way he gets the wins. Williams got his first gig too old.
