I got this recipe from an old Swedish woman that was my patient when I was doing Home Health years ago. It worried her to death that I was single and didn't cook much. It's simple and perfect for 2. I make it every few months or so and it's perfect on some cornbread!

1.5 pounds chopped sirloin beef tips
    1 cup mushrooms- drained
1 pack of Lipton cream of onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
'a splash up to 1 cup red wine' depending on taste

throw it all together in a casserole dish, cover and cook 3hr at 300* without looking in on it.

I come from a Land Way Downunder.
I made this some years ago - and it was delicious!

I recall using a roast and marinating it in the wine beforehand - but it was essentially the same...good stuff - especially in winter.

hey Fred- try that with golden mushroom soup in place of the cream of mushroom and use a can of french onion soup instead of the soup mix.
