AHL coming to Charlotte

I'm just curious as to what happens to the current Checkers players?

 

They would be absorbed into the parent teams system IMO

 

Ive heard that the ECHL Checkers could move to Greensboro . . . Think back to what happened when the AA-Knights left town in '93 for the AAA Knights . . . After a 2 year stop in Wilmington, they eventually moved to Jackson, TN (if Im not mistaken)

Hopefully this affiliation will finally result in the Canes playing an preseason game here . . This has been my 1 major gripe about the team since 1997 when they first got here . . . . The Canes are finally going to start promoting themselves in this market . . . . Woohooo !!!!!

 

That's awesome news. It will be nice having more people in Charlotte taking an interest in the Canes. I assume the new ownership will keep Daniels on as coach, but it would be cool if they sent Francis here for some experience. Maybe we will get to see Brind'amour play here next year

 

SD, can you gather up all the Checkers fans and make TBR their new home? I think it's time me made Black & Blue mod of the hockey forum.
