    I don't know why anybody would ruin a perfectly good soup by putting onions in it, specially potato. fucking yuk

    Y2B's soup is better then mine I am quite sure...however mine is good and quick for working people. Best I've had out of a crock pot with a minimum amount of work.

    I don't think I've ever had a soup without onion. Where would the flavor come from?

    Agreed. Onion makes almost everything (savory) better. It's a staple. And--carmelized onions on a burger or steak.......dreamy.
