Thanks, I'm fine, as far as I know.

One more question - after they did it, did they tell you what the results were? I mean, did they find anything, or not? If they did the test, they should at least be able to interpret the results. If there was nothing there, then don't go through another one, that's not where your trouble is. If they couldn't tell you what they found, they didn't do it right and I wouldn't pay them.

Thats cause we've seen too much. I assisted on an endoscopy on a 15 year old who had a really strong gag reflex. He was doped up on versed, but it was still tough to watch.

Now I'm afraid to go to the doc for the duodenal ulcer i'm certain I have.

plu, i have had them both.

endoscopy - since i have had tube shoved down my throat with no drugs or anestesia in the past having a real endoscopy seemed to be a breeze. i was raw (soar throat almost) afterward for a few days though. no real issues to speak of here. i get one every two years now.

colonoscopy - ugh, as everyone has said the prep is the worst part. put a quilt in on the bathroom floor because you're sleeping there. wear loose pants because you're gonna need to pull them the hell off fast. and have someone else drive because feet moving on clutch, gas and break are going to make you go again, lol.

as far as the during, i am usually awake for mine and have gotten to watch the camera images. in a gross way it's neat. what destiny experienced sounds horrible but in no way seems to be the norm. afterward they say you'll have bloating and gas pains from the air in your system. and yes, just as fred told you, farting will happen, lol. i have never had horrible pain or cramping but the doctor i see is awesome and knows how to slide it in slowly causing less air (nothing sexual here). IF they are doing a biopsy while up there you may have slight bleeding afterward but should not be more than small spots at best.

seriously don't fear it, you'll be fine.

I am scheduled for my 50 year old present tomorrow at high noon. Nothing solid to eat since Wednesday night at 7. Two pills to take at 4:30 then the gallon of gut flush/colon blow at 6:30. I wonder why I can't even have any liquids tomorrow morning?

Everyone reacts to anesthesia differently and some people throw up. If you throw up, you won't have anything in there you can aspirate into your lungs.
Secondly: Anything you drink in the am would be seen in the gut and interfere with the visibility.

I just took my first big glass of the clear liquid. Supposed to drink one every hour for 3 to 4 hours. For dinner I am dining on onion soup that has been strained out so it's essentially beef broth with a little flavor. How often do you have to have these things? 5 years 10?

I did the gallon of liquid stuff my first colonoscopy, refused to do it for my second. He gave me all pills, to drink with water, and a little bottle of something or other.

That gallon of shit tasted so bad it made me nauseous, couldn't keep it down.

    Good luck.
