    why couldn't they use the name "avatar"? the cartoon was first.

    it reminds me of the movie "troll" from the mid 80's. the main character in that flick is named "harry potter". if they did a remake, would they be unable to use the name "harry potter"?

    I don't think it's a legal thing but more of a branding/name recognition thing.
