No, just beat him in a race. He's surpisingly quick with breakaway speed. That shovel was older than Putt and wasn't going to do much to anyone.

Roughly 4 weeks into fitness 101 and so far so good. No pain for the most part after recent workouts. Walking 3-4 miles at 4.5 mph taking 35-45 mins and burning 400 calories. I am lifting lower weight than before mentioned but more reps in a shorter period of time to help burn more calories and get some more cardio benefit. Dropped around 12-15 pounds and feel generally better. Working out 2 days and then a day off and then 2 more...

Instead of walking just 3-4 miles I day, try walking to exhaustion three times a week. It will increase your metabolism and increase your blood platelet level.

I would think that exhaustion would lower your blood platelet level.

way to go paul. now make it a part of your life, kinda like going to work, you just do it.

i like what playa said too. now that you've conditioned yourself, work your way up. push yourself on the cardio, you may be surprised.

You shouldn't place limits on what you can accomplish.

Almost 4 months in and have dropped 32 lbs or so. Am walking on treadmill 3 miles 5 times a week at between 5-8 on incline and at a 4.2 mph clip. Ready to move onto using more weights. Been doing 30 minutes of 3 sets of 50% of my max on a variety of machines
