The only time I'm ever up late enough to watch any of those shows is if I'm hammered, and if that's the case, I'm in a bar. I'm in bed by 10 at the latest most nights. I've never seen Conan, and haven't seen Leno in years.

Can't ever tell how dissing your network might go. Letterman does it(used to) to CBS all the time. They might take it as self deprecating humor, so will the fans..

Fox late news starts one hour earlier then other networks.....
So he would be at a earlier start then at Fox as here CST is at 9, So he could start at 9:30 instead of the 10:30 slot CST.

I think the thing is, the FOX affiliates don't want to give up that 11pm ET time slot because they make money off of syndicated programming . . . They might be more willing to give up 11:30pm, but now how quick they can clear this time out so Conan can start on FOX is the big question . . . September 2010 maybe? Fall schedules aren't set yet because the annual TV convention where syndicated shows are sold (whatever its official name is, slips my mind right now) hasn't taken place yet, so it would be easier for FOX to get its network in line now vs. later

I'm thinking Conan may have 30 million reasons to forget all about NBC.

That was pretty much the point of the post.

But even when I used to watch late night TV, I never thought much of it was funny. Saturday night live was great back in the old days, that's the only funny stuff I remember on the networks. All network TV has pretty much gone to hell these days.
