I need your input. Serious input, please, no BS.

What do you think of a small restaurant that would serve appetizers (tapas) and desserts, maybe a seasonal daily soup and salad, coffee, beer and wine (and of course, tea, soft drinks, etc.)? A place that would be very cozy, with some tables but also sofas. A few standing menu items but most would change every day based on weather or the whim of the owner.

Is this the type of place you think could make it?

like the idea. Won't make money. Couches are a good place for loiterers. You make money pushing product.

You have to sell a shitload of desserts and coffee to pay a lease. Having the beer and wine would drag you down like an anchor in a small margin place because of the liability insurance.

    Save your money.

    Thanks for the input.

Been thinking for many years about having place. Would rather start with something like this vs full meals. Probably never happen--just throwing out ideas to different groups to get opinions.

This are could use a place for people to hang out and have a drink and a snack. I just need to figure out how to do it so it will be profitable. Got to be a way.
