Getting under 200 is a cool benchmark, isn't it?

Long hours at work have robbed me of my gym time for the last couple of weeks, and I'm definitely feeling it. Hopefully I can get back into my routine next week.

At that weight I'd agree with you. I never got down to my goal weight of 165 two months ago but since then I've been in maintaining around 170 while eating around 2300-2700 calories. I think. I don't really count. As long as I stay away from sugar, High Fructose corn syrup, and don't go crazy on the carbs it's actually been very easy.

I decided last weekend that I want to hit it again pretty hard and get under that 165 mark. I'm also training to be able to do this.

I also wanted to mention a great book I read a few weeks ago.

    http://www.amazon.com/Good-Calories...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1251999247&sr=8-1

Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes

It's talks about how a calorie isn't just a calorie. Your body does not treat and process 300 calories of Broccoli the same way it does 300 calories of donuts. A lot of science and research but the guy writes it a way that isn't too hard to understand.

I had put some weight back on but I have gotten almost all of it back off. The scales I was using the last time I posted my weight in this thread show me at about 215. I have since bought some better digital scales that show me at 219. I want to get down to about 175 or 170.

I've gone from 230 to 219 in less than two months. It's amazing what happens when you omit beer from your diet.

I still look like shit, though.

Water/juice in place of beer/whiskey can go a long way. I'm at about 222 now, but it's good weight.

Now 30 days into my quest to get back into the peak condition I was in 10 years ago. Weighed in today at 184 down from 195. Trying to reach my fighting weigh of 180 and gain 15% strength in my big muscle groups.
