Don't use it. It's as easy as that.

Probably all you have to do is walk into the bank and tell them you don't want it. Some people tend to see that, then use it, and then complain the bank shouldn't have given it to them. Those are the types of people that piss me off.

    Where do YOU live?
Not an APR division? What kind of crock are they trying to give you? There's SOME kind of division who saw fit to RAISE your APR in the first place right? I'd call them out on that BS.

Credit cards are coming with new ways to get money from us. Now people with good credit scores and don't carry a balance from month to month will start seeing fees for NOT carrying a balance. I understand credit card companies are in it to make money but the greed is just pushing my limits.

I ended up canceling some cards and then requested my credit union credit card's limit to be raised (therefore keeping my available credit limit amount similar and not negatively effect my credit rating).

I know someone who's afraid of getting their card canceled for not carrying a balance so instead of paying it off in full each month, she pays most of it but keeps about $20 balance to pay off the next month. I think it's BS that she even has to do that.

I hope you get your card APR back down. Don't let them screw you over!

Doesn't she then pay interest on the full balance?
