Is it worth the drive down to Charlotte to see it in IMAX, or is just seeing it in regular 3D enough?

I read today that they are coming out with even higher capacity BluRay DVD's and when they do you will be able to see and enjoy 3D movies on your LCD Plasmas TV's etc. I wonder then if you can use those same TYPE of 3D glasses the ones that are the same shade, instead of now with the red/green ones that came with the 3D version Journey To The Center of The Earth?

It's not the type of film that I would normally see but it's good. Why do the theatres try to make us deaf ? Damned, the movie was loud.
