    .......for things that go on in a major university establishing a new program.

    1. When is the expected first season?
    2. When should a coach be chosen?
    3. How does the NCAA go about or determine the nature of recruiting with respect to a new program having to man a 80+ roster?
    4. Can a bunch of players come in a year early, redshirt and help get the program off to a good start?
    5. ETC.

    No dog in the hunt, just an interested sports fan.

    4. Redshirt entire first recruiting class. Recruit second recruiting class. Combine first two recruiting classes and field first team.

    Last I heard they hadn't raised barely half the money and decided they would not be able to build a stadium. I would be shocked to see this happen in 2013, if ever.

    They couldn't even get 2000 people to a basketball game the other night.

    Only thing stopping this right now is BOG "No" vote on raising student fees. Not sure where you heard the part about not building a stadium.

    It would be less heartache if you just pick and a sports program to follow, not unlike most UNC fans do....:61:

    Well, unlike most UNC fans, I chose to pick the team from the school I actually attended rather than some arbitrary school that just happens to have a good history,etc. That's just me. Yes, it sucks most of the time, especially lately.

    Funny, I'm at a coffee shop and just now overheard a professor from UNCC talking about how it was the favorite university she had ever worked at. "It's so nice being at a place with a true focus on achademics without the distraction of athletics, I hope that doesn't change".
