running Charlotte 49ers thread

...because I'm sick of seeing "Charlotte vs Duke" at the top of the page lol. I know that one will keep getting bumped to the top, but I'd rather try and move on.

The game vs GA Tech tonight was pretty wild. Cut a 15 pt deficit in the 2nd half and had it tied with 2 min to go. Derrio Green is a stud. I'm so glad we have him for 2 more years after this season.
Derrek Favors is NASTY. Dude has lottery pick written all over him.

About half of Tennessee's scorng and rebounding will likely be suspended on Wednesday, so hopefully we can pick up win #11 then.

 

Charlotte had a chance in this game. Green single-handedly kept the Niners close. No bench-scoring for Charlotte, which is un-usual. Favors is good! He was considering NC State for a while, but stayed home. Tennessee is turning into "Thug Central". Drugs, alcohol, & guns: Pearl's got to be embarrassed! Tennessee loses about 32 points, and 15 rebounds per game: Good-bye Top 20!

 

First Louisville loses three players to injury right before they play us, and now Tenn loses 4 players to suspension right before our game.. if this keeps up, opposing teams will stop scheduling home games with us! lol

You're right about us having a chance to win last night. If we get even a mediocre performance from our bench, that's a 5 or 6 pt win.

Also, GA Tech is usually about a 66% team from the ft line.. they hit something absurd like 29 of 31 last night.

Oh well a loss is a loss. Hopefully we can capitalize off of half of Tenn's team being in orange jumpsuits instead of orange unis, and get win #11 on Wednesday. Then we've got Bona at home which should be a W, then up at Xavier, which I am going to, so hopefully we bring our A-game.

 

That was a pathetic showing. Awful coaching by Bobby and a lackluster performance by most of our team. Poor passing, bad shots, lazy defense.

That was the most embarassing game I've watched all season.

 

You watched the Duke game didn't you? What about Old Dominion, did you catch the internet feed of that one?

Yeah we played like crap for most of the game last night, but at least we didn't lay down and give up after 2 min like we did at Duke.

 

I was at the Duke game in person and that was about as embarrassing.

ODU was firing on all cylinders and we had no chance to beat them. We weren't going to beat Duke either.

Georgia Tech was not only winnable, but when we actually played them we looked a lot better than they did. But we didn't play them most of the game. Just awful performace, totally embarrassing. We looked like a bunch of limp wristed pussies and Bobby Lutz showed why he never got an offer from an elite program.

That was terrible coaching. 2-3 zone was murdering them, so we sub in Ian andersen and switch to zone. They jump up to an 11 pt lead and then we sub Ian out. Never recovered.

Fuck you Bobby, a chimp could have coached better than that.

 

On the bright side, it looks like you have somebody that can jack up 3's all night long.

Georgia Tech -2 was free money. Thank you Bobby Lutz for the easy win.

It's not like GA Terch is worth a shit either. They lost to Dayton and FSU at home and have beat nobody, including Charlotte.

 

I'm going to keep posting in that thread so the game is never forgotten. When Lutz is gone, I will let the thread die.
