Well all I can say is that really surprises me to hear that. I know you aren't lying, but I also have heard a lot of positive things said about him from former players, assistant coaches etc. And I'm far from a close family friend, but I've known Bobby and his family since I was about 12 or so, and nothing I've seen or heard from him would make me think he isn't a good guy. You have your info and experiences regarding him, and I have mine.

He's always coached like he has a chip on his shoulder, and I think that may carry over off the court some times. He is definitely an intense guy.

But anyways, all that aside. We are 9 and 1, and damn that feels good, regardless of the competition we've played so far.

 

You're dad was a sportswriter covering the team so of course he was cordial around you.

He is hated by almost every official and very few D1 coaches like him. One Charlotte area based official once used the word "despised" when describing his reputation with officials to me. Just 2 weeks ago I heard a true story about his behavior at a local Charlotte business that is unreal. The guy is a giant douchebag.

 

Fuel for the fire, we just got drubbed by ODU at ODU.

ODU just played their best game of the year, according to their fanbase. We got punched in the mouth and didn't recover. ODU is a tough place to play, but we should have shown up better than that.

Still, we're 9-2 (even against a scrub schedule, I don't give a fuck). On to mercer.

That wasn't just a loss. ODU is pretty good (they just beat Georgetown) but the Niners should not of lost that bad. Pathetic.
