John Lackey is close to a deal with Boston according to reports today. Bay is leaving and they are spending big on a pitcher. Boston needs a stick really bad, could they about to swing a deal for a big bat ?

Red Sox also close to a deal with Mike Cameron. Jason Bay looks like he may end up in an Angel uniform.

clay buccholz, jacoby ellsbury and a prospect (Lars Anderson?) to san diego for adrian gonzalez. Bay or Holliday signed to play left with Cameron moving to center while prospects (Reddick, Westmoreland) develop.

I expect Daniel Bard to really explode next year for the Red Sox, but what makes it unusual is that Daniel has been a member of TBR since HS. That's kinda cool. He rarely posts anymore but he certainly reads often, so please don't say too many harsh things about him on here :59:

I expect that he will be used a lot as the 8th inning guy this year to get him ready for the closers role, cause they may let Paps leave.

    He's gonna be special.
