I don't know that he'll be the head coach, but I'm pretty sure he'll be on the coaching staff.

He's done pretty well at First Assembly, but can Minter really build a college program from the ground up? I'd rather them hire a veteran coach to lay the foundation, then maybe bring in Minter.

I think that's the mentality of the AD as well. He has been lobbying for the head coach position, but I don't think he is going to get it. Like I said, he's likely to be an assistant here, but I don't think he's getting the head coaching position.

I don't know that Minter is going to get the job, either. I agree he's been actively pursuing it. One thing I've learned from being around the guy some is that no one is going to outwork him and that if he wants something, he will do what it takes to achieve it. Not bad traits for a startup program and when you factor in his ability as a fundraiser, UNCC could do a lot worse.

I'm excited about it whoever we get to coach. I love how active he's been with the program, we need that kind of initiative.
