Hey karl. I guess you missed the timeout that Calhoun called 33 seconds into the game? They fell down 4-0 and he pulled the TO pretty quick and yanked Jerome Dyson out. Hey UNCfever I mentioned this in the UNCC Duke thread but I just have to aggravate you a little bit, but if UConn beats Kentucky tonight, does that make Dukes win over Uconn look better? I do have to admit Coach K has been accused of not going away from man to man when he's getting beat, but he did use the zone in the 2nd half against UConn and that's what forced Uconn to fight and claw to score and Duke was able to drive and score and push the lead to around 20. Maybe Calipari will use the zone in the 2nd half. Maybe afraid to use it in 1st half and give UConn the half to gameplan against it. Who knows, but it appears the 2 keys to beating UK are as follows:

1) Survive the onslaught in the 1st 5 minutes of the game. UK comes out shooting fire with their quickness.

2) Kick your butt in 5th gear as soon as you go on defense and get back and find all their players. They kicked out numerous times to 3 point shooters against UNC and it was mostly #3 I can't remember his name right off hand. Basically survive first 5 minutes and get back on defense.

 

Dyson & UConn stormed back quickly. Kentucky shooting badly (31%) Wall is out of control quite a bit & neither team has a 3 pointer yet. Cousins hasn't even scored. Kentucky not looking good!

 

A time-out after 33 seconds? What did Calhoun say during the time-out? You guys sucked this first half-minute!

 

They showed him during the timeout and he kinda just stood there and said something to Dyson and Dyson kind've questioned him like what you fussing at me about and then Calhoun kinda said something else to him and they put their hands up and broke huddle and Dyson looked frustrated and went to bench. Ever since he came back though he has done awesome.

 

Scratch that idea about a UConn win over Kentucky UNCfever lol. Great game tonight though. I felt UConn was actually better team, but Kentucky benefited from having the best one player in the nation at the end.

Look, I don't agree with the timeout point which is what I have been talking about the entire time. Don't try and twist it into something else just to be an ass, well unless that's your only desire then carry on.

I am sure I have been keeping up with Carolina basketball far longer than you have.

 

So now I guess it takes away some from that dook win according to your previous logic.

The question to consider is, will Kentucky go on probation before or after their next national championship?
