Any chance Skip bolts for another job? Not hearing his name mentioned by anyone.

    Pirates defend title

A great game plan by the staff. Pinkney has really turned his game around and saved the season for the Pirates. Played safe ball that was smart ball.

Regardless the Pirates got a big win over a top 25 team.

Rowdy Dowdy was rocky. I was disappointed in the 10K fans that did not sell out the stadium. We have been wanting to have a championship game in Greenville and then we don't sell out. Those there were the loudest 33K I have ever heard. I drove through the rain in Raleigh and put my butt in the stand and the weather turned out to be overall good weather.

Skip -- he is saying all the right things. I have no clue if he will leave or not. He walks on water in Greenville, the stadium is going to 60K soon and AD Holland is making all the right moves. They play a great schedule.

    Go Pirates!

I agree with ya. Skip's got it made in Greenville right now. ECU should do well in Conference USA for years to come & the non-conference schedule is loaded with good regional match-ups that will fill up Dowdy. The Pirates have South Carolina, UNC, NC State, West Virginia, Va. Tech, & Navy sorta rotating in & out of their non-conference schedules the next few years. I thought maybe Virginia might want to talk to Skip in their search, but it appears they are looking at someone else right now.

Skip is a good spot. He will be contacted about some jobs but I don't think he would leave unless it's a major move up the ladder. If things don't work out on Raleigh next year, he could be the coach in waiting for NC State.

Lou did mention Skip last night when he was asked who Notre Dame should be contacting about the Head Coaching job. He rattled off about 5 or 6 names.

WLW in Cincinatti reported last night that Skip interviewed for the Bearcats' job yesterday.

    He's the lead candidate.
