Carolina will be very, very good by March in my opinion.

I sure hope so. Just a very young team overall, so hard to say at this point. They still need a consistant outside shooter or two and Drew to be more of a factor and not so up and down from game to game.

I watched bits & pieces of the Kansas/UCLA, Kentucky/UNC, Duke/St. Johns, & Maryland/Villanova games this weekend and it appears to me that there is no really dominant team right now. Everybody has to improve by March. It looks to be that the next National Championship is wide open. The penetrate & kick out for a 3-pointer offense is being used by everybody, so shooting the three is crucial. UNC kept trying to feed their big-men against Kentucky & Kentucky was intercepting the entry passes & causing turnovers. The Tar Heels have to reduce their turnovers and shoot from outside better. The talent is there to make a run in March.

They would benefit greatly by not missing so many point blank range shots as well.

Which they did a lot in the first half of the Kentucky game. They really had nobody to blame but themselves in that one. I do wish Roy would have used a timeout or two during that first half. Not sure why he doesn't want to do that, but it's been his MO a lot for some reason.

Because Dean Smith wouldn't have done it. That was Dean's MO forever...

Don't care who the coach happens to be, that's stupid, especially with a young team.

I think that's the point. Let them fight through the adversity and learn and grow.

Dean Smith did it. Enough said.
